Pre-1964 British television sets only receive 405-line transmissions, which ended in 1985. This converter takes a 625-line composite source, digitises it, and a Raspberry Pi Pico rebuilds each frame at 405 lines. The result is modulated onto a Band I channel, with sound, so an unmodified vintage set can show modern pictures.
Addendum A describes an alternative ADC (TLC5510) with its own firmware build.
